I'm going to fuel up with a hearty lunch and then head into the kids' room for a major clean-out. If I don't post again by Friday, alert the proper rescue authorities. |

We're now under a flood warning. It's supposed to rain more today and tonight. So far my basement hasn't flooded. I hope we can stay dry until this rain leaves the area. I think we've had 4 dry days this whole month. |

I lost my wallet :( €80, £30, age card, laser card, student id, bus pass. Lost it in the bathrooms of a club, went back to look less than five minutes after i last had it, but no sign. Arrgh! Thank god my boyfriend was there to stop me completely freaking out. I'm such a klutz it's terrible! |

Just found out my close friend who got married last month is pregnant. Another friend from high school got engaged yesterday. So out out of my closest group of high school friends, one couple is married, one girl is married AND pregnant, one is engaged and another one is getting married tomorrow.
I'm as single as it gets and applying for pub jobs. Okay, here goes a week without a panic attack... |

Wow! That's a lot of people getting married. No need to worry. You're young. I have only one friend around my age who's married (and she has a kid). Of my highschool friends nobody's married, and a few of us are single.
I do feel like a spinster in my master's course. Everyone I've talked to has a boyfriend or is married. I think I'm the only one who's single. But I'm also the youngest there, that gives me a little tiny bit of hope (of not being a spinster forever, that is). :oP |

tell me about it. I'm 28, many people I went to highschool with have 2 or 3 kids now (one is divorced!) and have been working for 8 years and my Iranian family started asking me about my marriage-plans 5 years ago. luckily, my closest friends are nowhere near getting married or having kids. they DO have jobs, though. Hrmph.

If it's any consolation, I've been to four weddings of my friends', and only one of those couples is still married. All but one pair had kids (the one couple lasted just about one year, both since remarried with kids), and all of them had at least one child before we even got married. It's not a competition, things will happen when it's time. And if nothing happens, it's surely not the end of the world (I know some happy spinsters, too), but I'm sure someone will come up before too long. |

The seaside always reminds me of Paddington Bear.
Funnily enough, I've "met" Paddington Bear during my trip! ;)
!!
Believe it or not: Last Sunday, poor Paddington was sitting in front of our house, waiting for someone to pick him up.
"Please look after this bear"-sign and everything. Needless to say I took him with me, gave him a (disinfectant) bath and made sure he got a marmalade sandwich as soon as he was dry again ;) |

Man, I love Paddington!
I know I'm young and the majority of my uni friends are single and no one's married. One girl from my high school class is in the middle of a divorce already... It's irrational, especially as I really wouldn't want to be married or (god forbid!) have kids at this point of my life but today I kind of thought "Oh my God! I am that person! I am that person who's ashamed to go their high school reunion because they failed in life! How did that happen??" |

Are you kidding me? What could be cooler than sending a message to your reunion committee that you can't attend your reunion because you are busy with your new life in LONDON, baby!!! |

Speaking of which, I realised making job related decisions gives me spectacular migraines. Every bloody time. |

Yeah, cool name for a debit card huh? Like a credit card without the credit, basically an ATM card you can use in pubs, shops, restaurants, etc.
