Day 13 (Thursday 7th April) - a song that is a guilty pleasure.
In Too Deep - Sum 41
I mentioned earlier that a lot of modern music is packaged and commercialised, probably sanitized too. These guys are an example, Good Blink Sum 18241 Charlotte. It's supposed to be "Rock"/"Metal" but when was the last time you seen serious "rockers" with hair like this even the tattoos are clean. The labels have realized there is a market out there that can be tapped into and stuff like this is the result. That said I really like this song, the video might help it's a spoof of a Rodney Dangerfield film from the 80's (he was quite big after Caddyshack and did a few films).

Juanes – A Dios Le Pido
I can’t help it, I LOVE IT. Makes me want to be able to dance properly, too. I also think he looks SO much better with short hair…
I started liking Spanish language songs when my command of Spanish finally allowed me to understand the lyrics. Then they sort of became my guilty pleasure (Julieta Venegas, too!) Lyrics can also be a great help when it comes to vocab and grammar, lol. |

I don't know what to say about this one, other than I like it and I can't help it. Video is beyond cheeseball.

Pick U Up by Adam Lambert
I don't feel particularly guilty about it though.
I was going to post yesterday but it was taking a year to login! For the record my favorite band is Manic Street Preachers and a band I really hate is Animal Collective. I know you all were dying to know that. ;) |

Apparently you also made it this far in your life without ever eating redcurrants which seems to be so odd to me.

She's never eaten redcurrants?? But... why?! Redcurrants are delicious - and they're awesome in CAKES, too! What about blackcurrant juice (I'm NOT talking about that awful Ribena stuff)?? |

Okay this isn't really a guilty pleasure because I don't really feel the guilt, but I am told I should feel it. I often get caught singing along and dancing to this in the car :D

haha, evidently! Gosia asked me what they were called in English and I had no idea what they were. I don't think they are very popular in NA. I know there is red currant jam, but I can't recall ever seeing them at a grocery store. |

I've never tasted a current, red or black, either. Like Kristy said, I don't think they are very popular here. |

First of all, I don't really believe in the concept of guilty pleasures as I like what I like and it's no one's business. If it's a pleasure I refuse to feel guilty because of it.
But whatever, let's say Mika with "Grace Kelly".
Also, I just realised I've always thought Sum 41 and Blink 182 were the same band. |
