Speaking of Philadelphia, did you see the Phillies won the World Series? I was cheering for them so I was happy! Have you read Mrs. Dalloway? I just started that after finishing The Picture of Dorian Gray... by Oscar Wilde, who, I learned, also shares our birthday lol. ;) Obviously you gotta be seriously cool to be born then. Hi! The dog searching is going well, I think, but I think they might wait till after winter. Snow + doggie paws + coming inside after a walk = a lot of extra work :) (I'm from Minnesota... we get a lot of snow!) I used to watch Brotherly Love, with the Lawrences, right? Lol... and back in the day I actually sometimes used to watch WWE Raw when forced by other people ;) That's different from ECW, isn't it? I'm not too up on my wrestling knowledge. Hope your classes are good, still reading Brave New World? I like that book. Have a spectacular week... or at least good. Wait no, it's your birthday (and, uh, my birthday too *wink*) tomorrow (UK time)! So yes, spectacular!Happy (early) birthday!!! :) |

Hi Nick, I'm pretty good. This weekend I was looking at dogs that are in animal shelters with my mom. My parents want to get a dog... and I sort of feel they need my input in their quest because they keep falling in love with these totally inappropriate dogs. lol. At least it's fun for them. Our family dog that our family got when I was like 12 died this summer, so that was hard. But I don't like seeing all the homeless animals that are in shelters, it's sad, ya know? And on that happy thought (lol, sorry) have a good night! ;) |

Hey! How is university going? (It's kind of fun to write "university", I'd normally say college) Hopefully you finally got your book list... guess it would be kind of difficult if you haven't lol. I am done with Dubliners. It was good (duh) lol. I don't exactly remember what I wrote in that message about boiling life down into its essence, or something like that, but I thought the very end was a good example of that. Hi! When do you start back at school? I always liked finding out my textbooks and buying them... it's kind of exciting I think. But then the actual reading of them isn't always so exciting :) lol, no, I'm sure with what you're studying you get really cool books for your classes. I majored in Religion in college... my books weren't always page-turners ;) I have not read Star of the Sea. And yeah, I hadn't ever even heard of Galsworthy until I started reading him this summer, but now I really like him! He's a good writer. I am going to read Dubliners, I'll let you know what I think when I start it! Have a really good weekend, Nick! :) |

And now I think I really will, since I've gotten a good recommendation :) (Even though it doesn't begin with The. I've got to make exceptions sometimes. lol) I just finished The first trilogy of The Forsyte Saga by John Galsworthy, which I thought was brilliant. Have you ever read anything by him? |
