Canada beat the US in the gold metal game of the women's World Championship :)

Congrats!

Meanwhile the whole of Finland & Sweden are getting ready for the World Championship games. I'm already getting bored with all the fuzz.

why thank you.

The Worlds always become secondary here, since they are on during the NHL Playoffs and increasinly becoming low priority for players that are already knocked out. World Juniors def get more attention here.

An my nation's hockey league teams are busy trying to prove that the temporarily hired NHL players who've returned to the other side of the pond had nothing to do with their recent successes.

Finnish press is ecstatic over Mikael Granlund's first NHL goal. He's obviously the new Teemu/Saku/Moomin.

I like that all 3 are in the same category
I was watching a bit of the Vancouver/Anaheim game last night reminiscing about my deep deep love of Saku.

All I can say is I love GCL, the weekends especially. Yesterday I watched 5 games.

As for my Flames season so far. Pfffft.
