Yeah... that's why I put up my prom picture. Then I saw that everyone had their hallo's eve get ups on so I added some other pics. |

I remember I read an article a few months ago about how the American idea of Prom doesn't happen in the UK, but that it's slowly being imported. Is that true? I can't imagine high school without Prom, it seems like such a part of it. |

Fancy dress is basically just dressing up in costumes. |

Thanks for finding that! Very interesting! :)
I do think we should have a formal dress week sometime, it would be fun (funny?) to see people! |

I Came in Through the Bathroom Window Posted Mon 15 Sep, 2008 5:14 AM |
I don't have any pics on my computer wearing costumes.
It's been a very long time since I last had a costumes party. We don't actually cellebrate halloween here (although some companies are trying to impose it).
And I don't wear dresses (except for my highschool graduation party many years ago and my friend's wedding last february).
I want to go to a costumes party!!!
Edit:
<------- The closest to "me wearing a costume" I could find. It's more like me being silly and cold and fooling with my friend's scarf, but well. |

It seems that all the school era silly clothes pictures I have are at my parens' house, so can't participate. I found one with black lipstick and all, but the angle wasn't good and I look quite normal in it (unlike the other people on the piccie). |

Aw, loving all the pictures, both serious and silly fancy dress!! The only recent fancy dress I did was last New Year, think you've already seen these pics.

Loving this thread. Tonight I'll have to go through my photo album. I know there is a great one of me at a white trash party.
I'll have to scan it in for your viewing pleasure. |

I remember as a kid being sent to a fancy dress party as "Yellow Pages Man"
Basically my mum/mom stuck a load of yellow pages to a bin liner then put it over my head.
Hey Presto, Yellow Pages Man!
