Eh, sorry, dont know why that posted a million times.

Dunno how to delete it?

Anyway, been reading all these " least fave trav songs " threads, and i think in my opinion that a big oversight has been made as regards to this song. For me, it highlights the vulnerable side of frans song writing ability.

If Radiohead released this, it would be deemed genius..FACT.

Add to this the background to the track of how it was written, and, for me, you have a beautiful dis-jointed piece of music, warts and all.

Just an opinion, thought id share.

I agree with your eight threads :oP.
Paperclips is a beautiful song, I love it.
The clarinet is great.

Yeah, there's no way of deleting threads unless you're TWT unfortunately.
I do like Paperclips, but not as much as some of the other slow songs like Luv and Indefinitely. I'll agree with 4 of your threads :P

But, yeah, was lisnin to it on my jaunt to work this mornin thinkin it was under-rated.

I say " mon the clips " lets start a petition to get it played at least once at one of the new shows.

Was never really a fan but heard it recently and thought it sounded great. In fact, the whole of 12 Memories sounds great. My opinion, the songs aren't quite as strong but they sound fantastic. If The Boy sounded as good as 12 Memories it would be the best Travis album. :)

Do you mean production quality? Yeah, I know what you mean, 12 mems has always really struck my as the most atmospheric of Travis albums. Probably bcause of the way the band recorded it on Mull. For me, The Boy is a fantastic album..More of an extension of Invisible Band era.

So, if u look at it this way, the albums kinda sit in pairs...... Good FeelingOde 12 MemsMan Who The BoyInv

Ok, not 100% but i think the similarities are there.

Yeah, I really like the style of 12 Memories too, it seems to fit very well into the context of their lives and other music. At the moment, my 2nd favourite Travis album, but it will have changed next week :)

Yeah totally agree.

My fave Travis album is always the one i listen to at that time.

But! Heres a poser, if u could only listen to one for the rest of your life what would it be.

Mines.......The Man Who, as it is the one i found them with, thus truly adore.

Me too, my first Travis album and it covers so many emotions.

The board does sometimes multiply posts, but sextuplication is rare (er, that's a word too. Maybe...)

Yeah im sure sextuplication is a word, if not then even better... A marvellous new word.

I personally hate it when people say the wrong word when they mean the right one, but after so much time of using that word, it becomes the way they think it ACTUALLY IS said.

For instance...." Ardvert " or " Valentimes day "

I'm sure I say sumptimes sumptimes, er I mean sometimes :) Also it's weird when someone says sandwich instead of the usual samwidge.

Totally! or even sangwidge.

On another note i really hate it when people sing the wrong words to songs. Especially if its one i like, for instance; I once spent a night drinkin with the family and my mum was singin along to the Niel Diamond song Forever In Blue Jeans.

Not mum, she genuinley thought the lyrics were " Money talks, but it dont sing and dance, and it dont walk....... dah dha hd ah THE REVERNED BLUE JEANS!!"

She thought it was about a trendy minister. how i lol'd.
