The B-Side album is a great idea. Travis have a bunch of album-worthy b-sides that deserve to be heard. I'm not sure about live album.. I think Live DVD is a better idea! :)

Yes, I think that the Live DVD and the B-side album is the best idea :D

I agree!

Totally agree too.

Me too!

I haven't even heard some of the B-Sides :( sooo leaning towards that, of course!

I am way tardy! So far behind all of you!! I first heard of them through Fran's association with Paul McCartney and I am trying really hard to catch up! If anyone has a line on how to hear them (I have gotten the DVDs and albums but the other stuff is more elusive...) , please let me know!

Visit travis.ography! It's the best source on the net to hear everything Travis, whether it's an album track, b-side, hidden track or live performance. It was created by a boardie named Joe.

ENJOY!

That site is awesome =D

And... yes, I like the idea of a B-side album! In fact, many of that songs could be part of the albums... are so great.

Or maybe an album of Dougie's songs ^^' xD

i think it would be totally cool to have a live dvd package with OTJS with a special full album gig on there, would make more people buy rather than download me think

Great idea, I hope it happens!

Something like:-
Ode To J. Smith Special Edition CD + DVD
Disc One = Ode To J. Smith CD
Disc Two = Ode To J. Smith Live DVD

I have pretty much all of the travis singles so have the B sides which are good, but they are so great Live it would be a must as i tried to make a Live album out of my B sides and bits and only got the following tracks live

All the young dudes (not Travis song but they do it well)
Closer
Driftwood
Good Feeling
Side
Sing
Turn
Why Does it always Rain on me

So that is like a third of a concert?

Hi Curlyboy, welcome to the board! If you're looking for live recordings, try TheManWho or Mayfly's bootleg site both of which are amazing!
