Ronaldo is a mercenary? How so?
As for Liverpool the less those pricks get the better cant stand their fans.
Nothing is ever their fault. |

Fuck Yeah, I completely forgot about that, none of the home nations qualified, Hmmm I better pick a team to support, well I share a house with a couple of Romanians so Romanian will do for starters, Maybe since we beat them twice and because of the Auld Alliance I'll go with France, Poland played a blinder in qualifying or I've always liked the Dutch style of play. hmmmm decisions decisions

I'll be supporting Switzerland, I even have their shirt from the last World Cup. My husband will root for Italy, son for Spain and daughter for Portugal (are they in?)
Generally, I'm not too worried about it. |

A dilema if we make the final...facing the scousers. On the one hand losing to them in the final would be beyond hell as we would never live it down, be taunted by them and have it as an excuse for everything when they lose! On the other hand if we won it would be the sweetest thing ever to beat the scousers in a european cup final.
If this is the final line up i am just going to die watching it!
Meanwhile in the Premiership, i'll be happy for a draw against Chelsea on saturday. We've been playing a bit crap lately although our defense has been alright we can't hold the ball or do a decent pass in midfield (as shown against Barcelona last night!) If we win the Premiership is ours, i think that will apply if we draw too but if we lose its still on. We need to win at least one game (preferably the one on sat) and then we're safe.
On the rugby front we aren't doing so bad. Salford are top of National League one but have been playing crap lately too, drawing with our nearest rivals and losing in a challenge cup game on tv against a Superleague side(which we knew we would lose but had a shot if we played well which we didn't!) We're getting lots of tv coverage on sky on thursday nights which is a good thing promoting the game and the club but means on certain away fixtures i can't make the drive from finishing work at 5 and kick off at 7.30! At least i can watch it on tv but its nothing like being there! |

As many people i know say "they're the self-pitty city"
...best not say that to my scouse friend though! We could do with Buzzy being around as well she'd have made a good argument on here ha ha! |

Haha Celtic fans are terrible like that, I find it really funny. (But do often join in with it.) :D |

Yeah though I don't think Celtic are worse than Rangers especially not at the moment. Rangers keep whining at the SPL to extend the season cos of fixture congestion. Doesn't matter how much it inconveniences the other SPL teams though. |

Yup, seemingly Saint Mirren and Dundee United already had "Team Holidays" booked abroad. Had it been any of the smaller clubs they have been told to fuck off.

For the luv of the game?? I've been a buddie now for 30 years and I have asked myself the same question a hundred times, especially after a shitty 0-0 draw with Morton on a Wet, Cold Wintery Tuesday Night or The infamous Hammarby debacle...
St Mirren have appeared in Europe on a number of occasions, mainly in the UEFA Cup. Their travels have taken them to Tromso, Feyenoord, St Etienne and Elfsborg among other places. The three most memorable matches have come against Slavia Prague, KV Mechelen & Hammarby. The Hammarby game brings up many a nightmare for the Saints supporter. Drawing 3-3 after the away leg and winning 1-0 with 5 minutes to go, St Mirren managed to lose three goals with one being disallowed for offside. It was a night that any fan who was there would never forget. In 1987 St Mirren appeared in the European Cup Winner's Cup for the only time in their history. They lost in the second round 2-0 on aggregate to the then unknown KV Mechelen of Belgium. Amazingly Mechelen would go on to win the trophy, beating Cologne and Ajax on the way. So at least that season Saints could say they were knocked out by the tournament winners.

I too hate Victimpool. Mainly because as a Wednesday supporter, some of them still have beef with us over the Hillsborough disaster. Even though none of our players or fans were involved, it was just our backyard. It wasn't our fans that turned up pissed up, without tickets, and rushed the turnstiles 5 minutes before kick off. |

Not a bad reasult for the Huns last night, though I reckon they will get hammered in Florence, either that or Fiorentina will stick 11 men behind the ball and hit 'em on one simple counter.

btw, totally agree with Esteban, it's always someone else's fault. It was the police or the ground or whatever, nothing to do with people who can't act in an orderly fashion.

Looks like the title race just got interesting....
Both level on 81 pts with 2 games each to go...
Man U v West Ham
Newcastle v Chelsea
and
Chelsea v Bolton
Wigan v Man U .
I honestly can't decide which one I'd like to lose more, I suppose Arsenal could still mathematically do it but that's just nonsense.
