firstlyyy...i LOVE this songg!!!
secondly..on the chorus..the bit where it says 'drifting in our wee river'..is that the actual lyrics..cos that's what it says in the cd album cover thingy..but on like the internet lyrics..it says 'drifting in an alley river' instead of our wee riverr...
I believe the album more..but Fran..do you sing both these lyrics..depending on how you feel..like a spur of the moment thing..or is the album cover correct? i appreciate your busy and stuff..but it's really bugging me!

...or does anyone else know??

thanks
x

Stick with the lyrics in the CD. Some of the internet lyrics are way off. Most internet lyrics for Closer say, "It's so mellow" instead of "It's only love." I think sometimes people write down what they THINK they hear without checking the real lyrics first. Things get screwed up.

It's definitely wee. Wee as in small, not urine (in case anyone online-translates it :))

For Travis, all the CD lyrics are right, but I know for other bands that isn't true. Even the Travis inlay booklets are better than everyone else's ;)

Drifting in our wee river can be an experience with new children when changing diapers

Just imagine, Dougie pops in for one last check of how the fans are rubbing along before The Baby. He reads that. You're not helping ;)

Hopefully he won't see, and hopefully any children of mine will have excellent bladder control from the start. :P
Yes, I know that's unlikely. :(

It's always been "Our wee river" meaning "Our little river". Alot of these lyric sites are not very accurate.

While we're on lyric confusion could someone clarify "she'll soon be in the can" from She's So Strange? Is this a reference to being done, finished, as in a movie being in the can? I assume it's not taking the American slang for can meaning restroom. Right?

"In the can" means to be in jail.
