Hmm, I'm not from the UK, but managed to buy the singles from Tesco just fine. Had no problems whatsoever.
I also noticed that you needn't have a credit card, they take also Visa Electron which is a debit card (if i'm not mistaken??).
Oh, I'll try again! In their terms & conditions it says that it's only for the British Isles. But honestly, what would they do to me if I was caught? Refuse to sell me anything next time I'm in the UK? |

Oops, i hardly ever read the terms & conditions!
I don't think you have anything to worry about - i've bought a few singles from Tesco and so far i've received no threatening letters nor has any suspicious looking man come to knock on my door :)
I guess they're happy just as long as they get their money |

Ok, so I managed to buy the songs, but now I can't play them in my mac.
I've used Switch to turn wma files to mp3, but these won't budge. Any ideas, anyone? |

You can't convert wma files you bought until cracking DRM(Digital Rights Management) because those files are copyright protected. I used to use FairUse4WM to crack DRM but it doesn't work on Windows Media Player 11 and not sure if it works on your mac.
I googled for you and found Windows Media Player for Mac here:
