I was reading Ian Rankin recently and he mentioned it, seemingly it's one of the motto's of Scotland, so I decide to "borrow" it.
*from earlier*
P.s.(It's the Scottish Motto, it translates as:- No One Wounds me with Impunity, or in Scots:- Wha daur meddle wi me? or in more layman terms Nobody Fucks with me and gets away with it!)
Ah right, cool. So it's something a Latin Ned might say? =P |

Places I would not recommend:
- Isle of Skye. Barren featureless dump of a place.
- Anywhere in the borders (cept maybe Melrose)
- Ayr.
- Perth
- Aberdeen
- Anywhere north of Inverness.
- Shetland
Why wouldn't you recommend Aberdeen? |

well, what is there to visit here other than the maratime museum? It's not exactly a melting pot of culture. |

Isn't Aberdeen supposed to be viciously cold in the winter because of the wind? |

Ayrshire is lovely, some loing roling countryside, a fair amount of Heritage but Ayr town itself is a kip, stay away from it espec. after dark, not just Ayr all those little towns on the West Coast... Saltcoats, Ardrossan, Irvine It can be like the wild West at times. The oly on that is ok is Largs but it's the Scots equiv. of Bournemouth, i.e. God's waiting room, there are that many pensioners most of the shop windows are bifocal

I liked that ;)
Yeah I sort of liked the look of, for example prestwick when I was there, but not really impressed with the people or the night time atmosphere. However the islands are tremendous, especilly the northern ones like the orkneys. Its fun most people speak of the shetlands, but from my experience and others around me, the people in Shetland are all english, all unpleasant, and bad cooks with poor hotel service...orkney is the polar opposite! |

Perthshire got the thumbs up - see the entry for Crieff. I like Pitlochry too, agreed on Scone etc. I just hate Perth as a 'city'.
And Aberdeen is always fuckin freezing. Never wet though. but yes you can visit one of Aberdeens many stunning strip bars down by the harbour. Or learn that it has the longest high street in the uk.
Aberdeenshire is nice though. |
