It was the first time i went to see them live though i've been a fan for many years, and i can now say that they're really my fav band cause they were awesome!! Btw, i was the girlie in the second row between Fran and Andy, and i stayed outside but had to leave before Fran came out, i was wearing a big flowery headband thingie XD It was nice to talk to some of you, and i hope we'll all get to see them again soon..

Wow!!!! I’ve only just landed back on the planet (literally, got back to the UK this afternoon) after a 48-hour visit to Amsterdam.

But when I say landed, I also mean that my feet haven’t touched the ground since Tuesday, the gig was so, so, so very great! In fact, the whole evening was amazing.

I could waffle for hours, so I’ll TRY to keep it reasonably brief, but no promises….

The first thing that happened when we got to the Melkweg was seeing Dougie! There was a small queue of fans who had just had their photo taken with him, so what amazing timing for a photo moment

The next great thing was the friendliness of the folks in the queue. It was such a pleasure to spend time with Kathi and Lieve, not to mention the two Johan’s (one being Mr Lieve), Andreas, Kim and more whose names I apologise for forgetting. They all helped to make it a better experience, so thank you! I’m only sorry not to have met Sanne- maybe another time.

Unkle Bob was a good support act, and, being lucky enough to run into them after the show, I’ve promised I’ll go and see them in London very soon.

The gig was brilliant, as stated previously, and as spoken about by all the other boardies. It was similar to, but not quite the same as, the Hammersmith gig. Fran was his typical charming self and the music was as great as ever.

In AIWDIR, Andy broke with tradition, leapt into the crowd then ran up to the upstairs viewing gallery. Half way up, he dangled the guitar over the staircase, over the crowd, yet somehow managed to keep playing. How on earth????

In terms of the set, the absolute best ever, ever, ever moment in ten years of Travis moments, happened during WDIAROM. Andy climbed off the stage right in front of us and played and pogoed, with us dancing/ jumping around him in a close circle. At the end, he shook our hands and thanked us. Er Andy…Thank YOU!!! ;)

With no last train to catch, we hung around after the gig, met the Melkweg cat (so cute), and just as importantly, met Dougie (again), Neil and Andy. Shame Fran was delayed inside the building, which would have completed the set. But it was great to hang around, and have a chat with 3 extremely friendly guys who had just given us the most fantastic show. This was not to mention the fact that they were due to drive to Paris through the night. They were so obliging, didn’t rush us, and posed for photos with all of us.

Over the next few days I WILL upload the best of the pics. And yes, Kathi, I'll send some on to you. Please pm me with your email.

Thank you to my new European boardie friends. You made the visit very special. I hope that we meet one day again to share more good music and a good time!

Thank you to Travis for a superb gig, my first abroad, and hopefully not my last. And talking of which…

Thank you big time to Mr Tonie for an amazing birthday present xxx

Hi all,
I'm glad everyone had a good time at the show :) I sure did! Here are a few photos i took. (the Dougie ones make me laugh) There are a few more on this website that my boyfriend keeps. It's all rock/hardcore/punk music news but he did a Travis review anyway. (It's in Dutch, by the way, but he tells me it's a positive one! hehe)

Christ almighty! These pics are getting better and better, aren't they? Great work, Fer Fer. Standing only 3 steps from the bar, right behind the PA, we had the most wonderful spot. A drink (well, let's be honest: a few), a dozen laughs, seeing Travis entering the Melkweg from only 5 yards distance, absolutely great music, that leaves me with more than 12 Memories. What a night! Brrrrrrilliant!
