My name (Neil's Chicken Drumstick) was from our love of Kentucky Fried Chicken after a Travis gig .... drumstick could only be connected to Neil ;) |

Well, again fairly simple.
Travis related.
When I chose it, I couldn't think of anything particularly Andy related! |

Scottish Dubliner wrote: Well everyone in Ireland would say it's still broad Scots, it's hard to shake a west of Scotland accent ;), but I've been told it's starting to pick up a bit of an Irish twang when I'm in Scotland, I've also picked up a few words and sayings which probably make it sound more Irish...
Grand = Fine/Good as in... How are ya, oh I'm grand
Bollix - has to be pronounced with "ix" never "ocks"
Deadly - Very Good, as in have you seen yer man on the telly, Yeah he's deadly
probably picking up little twangs like Buke=Book, pronouncing "th" as "t", as in "tirty tree and a tird" and "I trew a brick trew a window."
Do you really speak in this way?? OMG!!! this a little bit freaking for me!! I need to learn a lot of slang before I gotta go :S |

DAKOTA Posted Fri 22 Jun, 2007 10:29 PM |
My name is short for South Dakota. 40th state in the union. The State Bird is the Ring Necked Pheasant, the Nickname is "The Sunshine State". Why? I wrote a story that took place there, thus various half-assed research was done and I became fond of it. Caps? I forget, something happened back when we had a different board name every hour. I had so very many board names back then. hahah. |
