Well everyone in Ireland would say it's still broad Scots, it's hard to shake a west of Scotland accent ;), but I've been told it's starting to pick up a bit of an Irish twang when I'm in Scotland, I've also picked up a few words and sayings which probably make it sound more Irish...

Grand = Fine/Good as in... How are ya, oh I'm grand
Bollix - has to be pronounced with "ix" never "ocks"
Deadly - Very Good, as in have you seen yer man on the telly, Yeah he's deadly

probably picking up little twangs like Buke=Book, pronouncing "th" as "t", as in "tirty tree and a tird" and "I trew a brick trew a window."

See that's the thing if it's about what they are claiming it is i.e. remembering the victims of the troubles. Then I have absolutely no problem with it, but if they are using it as an excuse for an Orange March, Then the bigots can feck right off!!

S'weird, the bonfires are bigger and the riots are less up here now. Yet they're starting up annually down there. Odd!

With the exception of the Love Ulster thing it's usually just students, looking for a bit of rebellion/confrontation with the Guardai.

Anti Globalisation, Reclaim the Streets, May Day

Lol. One time my friend was really drunk and she was crying, so she blamed her drunken state on Globalization. It was hilarious!

The May Day one was hilarious, they borrowed a water Cannon from the north and you could tell both sides were itching to play with it, ahahaha

I have a cousin who's 8 years younger than me and when she was really little she couldn't quite say 'Jennifer' (my name) but only Fer Fer... and the whole family kind of adopted it. My other cousin 5 years later pretty much grew up thinking that was my real name
