WoW isn't it a historic moment! My first Travisland post after almost a decade :)
Have always been a quiet stalker and watched from the shadows all the new friends that joined us and all the great TWT updates but finally today I have the perfect reason to come out of my shell.
The gig at the Islington Assembly Hall in London - while I was busy working out the flight and accommodation details the tickets suddenly went not available yesterday afternoon. Now it doesn't say 'sold out' buy just 'not available'.
Do you think this is a momentary thing or that they are indeed sold out, which will be a total bummer since I already booked everything else *sniff*

Cheers,
Efrat

Well I'm not quite sure but I read somewhere that the tickets sold out in half an hour :( I hope you can find one.

Ahhhh! I was hoping to go, too! Hmmm, just checked stubhub and tix are already being re-sold...I'll keep an eye open and hope the prices drop a bit as the date approaches.

Where are you based, Funny Thing? Pure dedication to fly for a gig!

already tried both eBay and stubhub with no luck....

I live in Israel maryhill_johnny so there aren't any other options but to make a Travis trip. Last time it was three concerts in a row hehe :)

I know this isn't the greatest bit of help, but as a last ditch attempt if all else fails, turn up to venue and ask if anyone has a spare ticket they would like to sell. Don't ask a tout, ask people in the queue, actual fans. Sometimes people buy tickets for a friend and then they can't make it, so they have a spare! I did this once and got a ticket from a guy £5 less than face value. I even offered to pay face value, but he insisted I pay less.

Sometimes, it works! I might even try it myself for this gig!

Good Luck!

It happend to me with the five-date-reharsal-tour of the 2008.
You can wait a couple of days and try ebay, or like other suggested go to the venue and ask around for spare tickets.
If you can't find anybody you can always try and chat with a member of the band if they've got spare tickets (sometimes it happens) or try directly at the venue, if they sell some tickets before the show (usually they save something like 10% of the tickets from going on sale online).
Good luck! I really hope you can find something.

I didn't get around to buying tickets, and damned if I'm paying a tout double face value. I might see what happens closer to the date - in the past I've found tickets at face value a few days before a gig.
