This is a very good idea, sorta ongoing class project. Perhaps we could also report back on what we thought of them.

That none of the Hermann Hesse books mentioned interest you . You're like in your 20's . Thats the perfect age for them except Magister Ludi . Thats a tough one |

Kristy, that's... sad! :'( poor little books... Which ones did you order? Sometimes back-cover texts/teasers are misleading... maybe you should just pick one and start reading? Not necessarily one from my list, of course ;P
And I agree with Ric, Hesse is a great author to read in your 20's! His poems are beautiful, too...not sure how they sound in English, though (obviously) ;)
Also, if you want sth more...err..."fun", I strongly encourage you to read this ;P

Oh, I should have specified. MOVIES. I actually have a stack of books already that I need to get through (and I've read a bunch of what was on people's lists). I put a bunch of newer movies and miniseries on hold. 50/50, Downton Abbey, The Help, Temple Grandin, Mildred Pearce, P&P (not newer, and Ive seen it 1000 times), ummm...a bunch more that I can't remember at the moment.
I was rejecting your movies, not books :) Although I am really not a poetry kinda girl. Unless it is a dirty limerick :) |
