Evening folks,

Its been a while. About 3 years I reckon...

Bit of a long shot, but I was looking for a copy of a poem that used to be on here (might have been on Fran's old page in the band section) which was titled The Man Who - I think it was possibly one told to Fran when he was young?

If anyone can come up with a copy, you'd be a better researcher than me.

Peace x

You mean the story of the man in the train?

This is a version of it (Scottish tombstone epitaph from Wikipedia)
"Consider, friend, as you pass by: As you are now, so once was I. As I am now, you too shall be. Prepare, therefore, to follow me."

I think Fran's version was a little bit different, in the Fran & Andy cd he says the man gave him a note which went like this:
As you are now so once was I
remember this as time goes by
As I am now soon you will be
remember this and pray for me

Hi Euan,

here's the poem:

The Man Who

People ask me "who are you?"
I am me or me am I
Even after I reply
"The man who"
"The man who what?"
"Who what? Just who"
"I'd rather leave that up to you"
"Oh," they say and walk away
People ask "Then who am I?"
"How should I know" I reply
"You are you I suppose"
"But could be him, og them or those"
"Or just me wearing different clothes?"
"Oh," they say and walk on by

Wow, it's been ages since I've posted anything here.... I think it's been years actually. But, I remembered my password ;) I might have a 10 year anniversary as a member coming up actually....
