'The phenomenon of planking involves lying face down in a public place - the stranger and more dangerous the better'
I heard that the Australians started it(?) but would like to know if this is what kids all over the world are doing these days?.

we don't quite understand the phenomenon. |

I thought this fad went out years ago. I haven't seen or heard about anyone doing this in 2 years or more. |

Maybe so many people get killed doing it that it's taking a long time to catch on. |

This is the third reference to it I've heard this week. Never heard of it before that |

Heard and witnessed this about a month or so ago! Very strange indeed. Needless to say I clearly have too many abnormal friends who partake as evidenced in Facebook photos! :-/ Especially popular with teens in school! |

So I'm behind the times in everything, except planking? Figures.
*Oh, I read the Wiki article and now I know where I heard about it. It was when those people got suspended at the hospital in 2009. I heard about it on the news. Back then it was just called "the lying down game" which is a lame name. (That was 3 rhymes in one sentence.)
