They also say Grüss Gott in Bavaria. In my opinion, Austrian is indeed a dialect of German. At least to me, Bavarian sounds a bit like Austrian. It's not completely similar but still.
same with swiss-german. used to watch swiss-german and swiss-italian tv at home and i was quite different from german.
Yes, swiss german is very different. Austrian is easier for us non-native German speakers to understand. Swiss German is a completely different story. I wonder where Ursina is. She probably has an opinion about this as well. |
