Is it weird that I really have no desire to go to New York? (Except I would like to see the Statue of Liberty.) I just don't think I'd enjoy it for some reason.

I know a lot of people that say that. I think it's one of those places you either really want to go, or have no desire at all. It isn't for everyone.
And I didnt see the thread yesterday, but if I did I would have posted New York New York by Ryan Adams, or Empire State of Mind by Jay Z

and for today:

Daniel is travelling tonight on a plane
I can see the red tail lights heading for Spain
Oh and I can see Daniel waving goodbye
God it looks like Daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes

Daniel- Elton John

New Order: Who's Joe

Hey Joe what you're doing?
It seems like it's all going wrong
There's a storm in the sky passing over
And it looks like it's going to be strong

Franz Ferdinand: Michael

This is where I'll be
So heavenly
So come and Dance with me Michael

So Sexy, I'm sexy
So come and dance with me Michael

There was something in the air that night
The stars were bright, Fernando
They were shining there for you and me
For liberty, Fernando
Though we never thought that we could lose
There's no regret
If I had to do the same again
I would, my friend, Fernando

Jessie is a friend,
Yeah, I know he's been
A good friend of mine
But lately something's changed
That ain't hard to define
Jessie's got himself a girl
And I want to make her mine

And she's watching him with those eyes
And she's lovin' him with that body,
I just know it
Yeah 'n' he's holding her in his arms late,Late at night

You know, I wish that I had Jessie's girl,
I wish that I had Jessie's girl
Where can I find a woman like that

We are young but getting old before our time
We'll leave the TV and the radio behind
Don't you wonder what we'll find
Stepping out tonight

Well, you're turning on your telly
And you're wondering what you've seen
Do you realise that you
Have lost a friend in me?

Television, the Drug of a Nation - The Disposable Heroes of Hip-hopcrisy

One nation
under God
has turned into
one nation under the influence
of one drug

Television, the drug of the Nation
Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation

T.V., it satellite links our United States of Unconsciousness
Apathetic therapeutic and extremely addictive
The methadone metronome pumping out
150 channels 24 hours a day
you can flip through all of them
and still there's nothing worth watching
T.V. is the reason why less than 10 per cent of our Nation reads books daily
Why most people think Central Amerika means Kansas
Socialism means un-American
and Apartheid is a new headache remedy

I just sit and hang around
I just wish that was something more to this

Coffee and TV - Blur

So give me Coffee and TV
History
I've seen so much
I'm goin blind
And i'm braindead virtually
Sociability
It's hard enough for me
Take me away from this big bad world
And agree to marry me
So we can start all over again

Ned's Atomic Dustbin - Kill Your Television

she said, she said
"you don't know shit,
because you've never been there"
she turned upon him,
took him by the hair
spun him round about,
laughing as he fell about,
sat down for a drink
in her father's favourite chair
kill your television

Death Cab For Cutie - TV Trays

Summer's gone
I overslept and woke up to the chill of fall
Overworked and now I'm all used up
This TV haze sucks me through
I watch the world from the inside
Overworked and now I'm all used up
