Hi all,

I haven't been around for a while now it seems, so it is probably time for a new post. Anyhooooow. I'm in the mood for some new music (not that Travis isn't great, only that I need some more input) and I was wondering if any of you boardies have discovered some "new" music (it doesn't have to be a recent release, just something that you've just discovered)?

If you are up for something quite eclectic. Give TV on the Radio a listen :)

Also , you could download an application called Spotify and listen to almost anything you wish.

Just quickly, since I'm on break here at work, and if I think too hard about it I could probably come up with a list in the hundreds of bands I like and are at least worth having a listen or two. Heh.

New Bands I Enjoy off the top of my head that have recently released things or are planning to this year:

Late of the Pier - Fantasy black Channel : I got this album because the song I wanted for my '09 mix was album only on I-tunes and I LOVE it. The whole thing! yay! (It was '09 in the US, so no need to point out that it actually came out last year. ;) )

Things I'm looking forward to purchasing:
Pains of being Pure at Heart
Iran
New Wrens (maybe?)
New Doves
New Peter Bjorn and John

Things I am looking forward to more than is healthy:

The Answering Machine
BAD VEINS (x a million. I love them so much!)

Oh, yeah, and my favorite album from last year:

Ra Ra Riot - The Rhumb Line

Aww, what the hell:

List of Hundreds

Heh, I like to write down the songs I hear on the radio that catch my fancy and cobble them together in one giant end of the year mix (Which, in the two years I've done it, turns out to be about 12 disks...which is 12 songs per month, no repeat bands. per year anyway, so there's a lot of bands to peek at there. :D

I've just discoverd that I love Babyshambles. Too many people aren't interested in them cos of how they feel about Pete Doherty, but they actually have class music. In my opinion anyway.

There's unlimited invites here and it's worth a try, there's so much music on there. Listening to the new U2 album on there now and not feeling it, hopefully it will be a grower.

I can't listen to the album, maybe it hasn't been released in Sweden yet? Or maybe I have to become a premium user?
Well I've heard "Get Your Boots On" and I didn't like it.. I think U2 should go back to what they do best, I really hope there are better songs on the album!

I guess it hasn't been licensed for Sweden :( Still, it will be all over the internet next week so you won't miss it.
I liked the last 3 tracks on the album after I posted that, I think it's probably a good album once you get into it.
