I didnt know this would be so difficult!
Okay, any non North American who shows up to the ABC gets a pudding cup. We should make little gift bag things. Contents currently include: milkbags, pudding cup.

So let me see if I understand this right. They call all dessert pudding, but there is no word for plain old chocolate pudding? Or they just don't have plain old chocolate pudding? Very interesting.

In North America, we don't call all vacuums Hoovers, but we generally call all tissue Kleenex, like Kristy said. (Though I have heard more people calling it tissue lately, because Puff's is starting to become more popular. It really is softer. Puff's devotees don't call tissue kleenex.) All adhesive bandages are Band-Aids. What other brand names have become genericized? Hmmmmmm. Xerox. What else?

bandaid for sure.
Hoover isnt used a lot here, but if you said it, people would know what you are talking about.
I dont think Xerox is really all encompassing here. We have Xerox at work, but it is still 'the photocopier' or 'the printer.'

And it is true, it is looking more and more like they dont have plain old pudding. Maybe we should have a pudding exchange. Although im not sure what they would exchange in return, other than their eternal gratitude.

I'm going to send you a box of instant pudding and you can tell me what it is.
Sometimes the boxes have hockey cards on the back.

Is it very weird of me that I LOVE all things chocolate--except chocolate pudding? I like lemon pudding.

Now over here I make a mean Chocolate Sponge pudding with awesome chocolate sauce, you make the mixture up but then pour water over it before putting it in the oven. Then the sauce sinks to the bottom.

Sounds crap but works like a charm

Looks a bit like this but way better.

Hockey cards will do, you can keep the "Chocolate Pudding"

oh Kayte, you slay me!

Kraft Dinner also comes with hockey cards on the back.

And yes, it is weird that you dont like chocolate pudding. One of the best desserts ever, death by chocolate, involves chocolate pudding. And whipped cream. and brownies. and skor.
I think i might die right now.

I would have thought so, I'm not really sure what the original question is now...
