Won't know Prop 8 and others for a while. Polls closed just an hour ago.

I thought McCain's concession speech was very nice.

oh comeon people!

Lauren, there was a gathering in downtown Toronto! I think those people were confused and got lost at the border or something.

I was just about to tell you that when you left the chat. This is going to be horrible if it passes.

It was an automated thing. It was like, "Phone number blah blah blah cannot take your call..." that sort of thing.

I've been under a rock! LOL! And I've become a geek addicted to anime, and oh, I've recently acquired a terabyte server. Exciting stuff. Glad to see all is well in Travisland! :-)

So, did anyone reap the benefits of election day?

I certainly did not. The timing didn't work out like I had hoped it would

Ben & Jerry's - NO
Chick-fil-a_ - NO
Krispy Kreme - NO
Starbucks - YES, but only because I went at 7:30pm.

*sigh*

Oh yeah, to get away from all of the coverage I switched to HBO for a hot minute and watched a... well hot minute of "27 Dresses." And for the record (I use that phrase a lot...) I do not think that the tune "Benny and the Jet's" would get me hyped up enough to dance on a bar. It might possibly be the most inappropriate song to put to a dance sequence in a movie.

Ugh. Arkansas has a prop that would ban gay couples from adopting children and it is passing. This is disgusting.

Just up and reading the news. Amazing.

I got a little emotional in the car when I heard Obama's victory speach.

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

It's the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen; by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the very first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voice could be that difference.

It's the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled - Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America.

Hey Lindsey! Hope the Fall Qtr's treating you well :-)

I just checked and it's disappointing that Yes on Prop. 8 still has the lead with 64% of precincts reporting. Boo-urns. I guess I'll turn in under my rock now :-(
